Join FCA Toronto
The Federation of Canadian Artists, Toronto Chapter (FCA Toronto) invites you to join us in sharing our love of art. Membership in the Toronto Chapter offers a connection between artists, the art community, and the public at large, within the province of Ontario.
The process to join our chapter is now managed entirely by the national FCA office. Please write to them directly at [email protected].
Some background details are offered below:
Eligibility
Prospective members of FCA Toronto must first be members in good standing with the national FCA organization, located in Vancouver, BC. For more information, visit www.artists.ca.
The first step is to join the FCA as a Supporting Member.
The entry-level Supporting Member status only requires an individual to have the desire to learn about the arts and to support them. If you are new to the FCA and interested in joining our chapter, please send an email to [email protected].
The FCA would be happy to help facilitate your registration. Include your last name and our chapter name in the subject line.
You can read about how to become an FCA member on the FCA website.
Exhibiting with FCA Toronto
Once you have joined the FCA as a Supporting Member, you need to apply to upgrade your membership status to Exhibiting Member to be eligible to participate in FCA Toronto’s juried, members-only exhibitions. Exhibiting members who have demonstrated their ability to meet FCA’s artistic standards consistently can also apply for further accreditation to the highest levels: Associate and Signature status. Learn more about the FCA’s membership levels on its website.
FCA Toronto typically plans for three juried exhibitions a year: two live exhibitions in the spring and fall for FCA Toronto members only, and one online-only show with nationwide promotion and exposure.
Our host art galleries are normally located in the Greater Toronto Area. The FCA’s Federation Gallery hosts the online edition of our exhibitions as well. Artwork is made available to the public for sale and participating artists are also eligible to win awards.
