Join FCA Toronto

Please Note:  Membership is currently closed until the end of our current year, December 31st. FCA Toronto will be accepting new members again in January 2025. At that time artists may apply through the FCA directly on their website.


To be eligible to join FCA Toronto, you must first be a current member of the national Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) and have achieved at least Active status with them.

(Tip: You can join the national FCA first as a supporting member and then apply for Active status.  For more information, see becoming a member of the FCA. Once your Active status has been granted, you can apply to join FCA Toronto.)

The Application Process

To begin, please fill out the application form below.  

Once you submit your application, FCA Toronto will review your information and will notify you of the results of our review within three weeks. At that time, if your application is successful, you will be asked to pay the current year’s membership fee. Once that has been done, we will send you a confirmation receipt and instructions about the next steps.

All decisions on membership applications are final. 

Qualities We Seek in Applicants

What is FCA Toronto looking for when assessing applications for membership? Evidence of an active professional career that includes participation in juried exhibitions over the last five years, including those hosted by the FCA at Federation Gallery.

If you do not currently have an art portfolio website with biographical information, please upload your CV with a list of recent shows and group affiliations.

Finally, if you are willing and available to volunteer in some capacity with FCA Toronto, that is important for us to know as well.  Any organization’s strength is dependent on the skills and volunteering of its members.
