Bev lives and works in Hanover, Ontario as a full-time artist exploring her passion of watercolours with other mediums. Every January, her new series of artwork begins which challenges her as an artist. Visit her present series album "Time Flies" and her past series of 'Ontario Waterfalls' and 'Music Series'. For the past 25 years, she has shared her passion of watercolours  in her home studio, local libraries, campgrounds, Southampton Art School, and work holidays on cruise ships.

Her interest in the visual arts began early but always put aside. After juggling two careers for 29 years balancing art, workshops and hospital employment as a Medical Laboratory Technologist, June 2015 became an epic year of retirement from one career to full time as an artist.

Mainly self-taught, she has enjoyed workshops and inspiration from Lin Souliere, David McKeown, and Gordon Mackenzie.

After moving to Hanover, she and 5 other artists joined forces and formed a local artist group “Saugeen Artists” to promote and support each other in art shows, guest speakers and events in November 2006. From those early beginnings, this group has evolved to a Not-for-Profit organization “Saugeen Artists Guild to actively encourage arts and culture in our community. From 2017-2020, Bev volunteered to become a member of the Hanover Economical Development committee and Arts and Culture committee to advise Hanover Town Council in strategic planning.

Bev began teaching watercolours on cruise ships as way to enjoy a work holiday with her love of painting and travel.

• She began her first adventure with the Cunard Cruise Lines (Queen Mary 2) and taught Watercolour Workshops Round trip Transatlantic Crossing in 2015 (New York to United Kingdom and return to New York)

• Celebrity Summit in May 2018 (Bermuda)

Because of the recommendation of these travellers, Bev began teaching February 2016 on-line watercolour classes on udemy.com and as on April 2020, she has over 5000 students enrolled. It is an honour to be a small part of inspiration to encourage others to try their own hand of painting!
