2023 Summer Pleasures Call for Entry poster

About the Showcase

Our next official FCA Toronto juried exhibition is not until November at the Etobicoke Civic Centre’s Art Gallery. So we’ve decided to break with tradition and offer all FCA Toronto artists (whose membership is in good standing) an opportunity to showcase their recent work online over the summer.

Here’s the idea:

Provide us with 3 artwork images for $25 and we’ll post them over the summer on our Instagram account and Facebook pages.  The artwork posts will include links to your website and Instagram accounts (if you have one).

We’ll also showcase your work on a dedicated showcase page on our website.

The deadline for entries will be July 4th.

The showcase will officially run from July 10 to August 31. However, depending on the number of entries we receive, we can extend the show until September 22.

To be clear, this chapter showcase will not be juried.

There will be no awards offered or FCA signature points available to be earned.

The subject and style are entirely up to you. But the artworks must not have been shown before by FCA Toronto in its previous 8 exhibitions.

Your works do not have to be for sale.  No commission for FCA Toronto will be requested if the showcase leads to the sale of your work.

The images themselves do not need to be formal. You can submit an image of yourself posing with your painting on an easel, for example.

The primary objective of this showcase is to create more exposure for FCA Toronto artists over the summer without the formality of a juried exhibition. Any funds raised via submission fees will go towards future exhibitions (award money and exhibition space rentals).
